Was Today Friday???
May 9, 2008 in Blogging, Cranky, Life is Stranger Than Fiction, Uncategorized
Shit! Not having a regular schedule anymore, I really don’t know what day it is!
No, really.
This happens when I go on vacation and it happened when I went into hospital a little over a year ago but now…? Well, definitely.
I got up and did my regular routine. Woke up, went to the bathroom *laughing* Then walked aimlessly around my flat for a bit. Then, I took my meds. Then, fixed a cuppa. Actually toot horns I unpacked some more things from work. I found a bunch of photographs. Why the hell did I have photographs at work? Maybe I picked them up from the shop and just shoved them in a drawer and thought I would take them home…some…day…?
They were really old too.
So I went through them and tossed a few, kept a few.
So, what’s the weather like today? Click on the channel.
Oh, FUCK! It’s Friday! I thought it was Thursday! I have an appointment!
Bugger. Get ready, run around, throw myself into the shower and toss some clothes on. Wha…?
And then my mother called. Oh, holy hell upon hell. It is impossible to get my mother off the phone but I did.
Fuck it. I am home. I made my deadline for my post.

PROOF THAT I AM INSANE!!!
In case you really need it, here it is. Have a look.
This is the form that is filled out by a doctor in the Emergency Department, when you are admitted to a Psychiatric Ward for a 72 Hour Observation Period.
I actually have one of mine from one of my hospitalizations. It was given to me after I was transferred from one "Institution" to another. The second physician was supposed to ask for it. He never did.
I completely forgot about it until I was released and came home. It was still in my jacket pocket. It has all of the nice boxes ticked off that PROVE I'M NUTS.
I'm going to frame it and put it on my wall. I just haven't gotten around to picking up the frame yet.
I get pretty preoccupied with being such TOTAL WINGNUT. That kind of makes something like a frame slip my mind. Until I pause and think that some frames actually have wingnuts.

Yes, PA is a woman but she chose this badge for four reasons:
1. She can not stand colour used for gender distinction. The one for a female Blogger was pink. Therefore, this is to be used in protest.
2. PA is also in touch quite comfortably with both her "masculine" as well as her "feminine" side.
3. The third choice of badges did not appeal to her--it was in fact rather unattractive in her opinion.
4. Blue looks better in her sidebar.
Keep Scrolling for More Blog Love...
Although, unfortunately I can't remember what all of the badges mean that aren't labelled!

yeah i have a hard time remembering what day of the week it is too, especially day of the month. when you do the same thing every day, it’s hard to tell the difference. if it weren’t for logging in my hours at work during the week or looking forward to not working on the weekends, i don’t think i’d remember it were friday!
May 10, 2008 at 3:55 pm
I smiled when you used the word, Bugger. Such a great English word.
May 10, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Hi unfitting, glad to hear I’m not the only one. One of the best things about working was that in using Outlook for email it had pop up reminders so for appointments etc… I could keep track of everything so easily! With new baby MacBook (OS)Leopard has “stickies” (basically electronic Post-It Notes) but I still haven’t figured out how to make them act as pop ups. I really don’t think they work that way?
I added them to my Dashboard so click on them every day? But what if I don’t turn on my computer until my appointment has long since passed! *PA rolls eyes*
Hi Deb, I know…blame it on my significant UK readership and my ongoing, neverending passion for women from the UK and their accents. I know, I know…shut up about it PA!
Here’s another good one for you: “Arse over tits!”
“Oh, bloody hell! Everything’s gone completely arse over tits!”
May 10, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Here’s hoping for a better Saturday, PA. I hope your appointment went well.
May 10, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Hi mom, yes…at least I know it is Saturday today! I’m trying to think of more things I need to do. I am currently sitting here screwing around on my computer.
Hmmm.
I do need to make my blog post for today, however?
May 10, 2008 at 6:00 pm
i need to have a watch with a day/date calander on it.
otherwise i really have no idea what day it is,most of the time.
May 10, 2008 at 6:03 pm
You could check out the links section on my blog under Mental Health Resources and let me know if I need to add anything. :-) I also look forward to another post by you. I’m sitting here working on a case study for one of my classes. I had to miss out on going to a baseball game with the boys because I’m so bloody behind on my school.
May 12, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Hi sodajerk, that’s ironic that you mentioned your watch. My battery just died with mine. Although it doesn’t have a date indicator on it–just time. But still, it keeps me ON time. Right now, I am using my cell phone which does have the date but erm…what if its battery dies? *sigh*
Hi mom. I checked the links on your blog and you don’t have ME! I am an excellent Mental Health Resource! I’m just kidding but I am going to blogroll you just because you always come by–if nothing less!
Peoples’ choices for links etc… I find are always so personal. From other blogs to websites…whatever! I think it really just depends upon what you have to say as a blogger.
Too bad you had to miss out on the game. That’s a drag. I hope the boys weren’t too disappointed.
May 13, 2008 at 10:05 am
Hey, I added you to my blogroll. :-) You’re right on what it depends on what you have to say as a blogger. I just want info out there that can help. I don’t want anyone to suffer in silence.
May 13, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Hi mom, actually, I thanked you in my last comment for adding me. I also agree with you about people suffering in silence.
You know, I had no bloody clue what the hell I was going to write about when I started blogging. I have repeated this ad nauseam on my blog so everyone who has heard it–skip over–but this blog was started very impulsively on the suggestion of Doctor Anonymous (see sidebar; PA is too lazy to link and she actually has to go to the bathroom at the moment–haha!)
I made some mouthy comment (but in response to a legitimate question he had) and he was like, “Do you have a blog? You should have a blog!”
I retorted, “You are so fucked! Who would want to read me!” Not verbatim, mind you.
So, within two or three days this blog was born. And ever since…I still have had no bloody clue what I am doing. *laughing*
